Just Blame the Internal Revenue Service

They are to blame all right, and Congress too. The Congress saddles the IRS with collecting taxes, then in the same breath passes laws to hinder tax collection. So the IRS spends their time spinning their wheels, collecting incredible paychecks and a fat pension.

If someone owes you money, how long do you wait to ask for payment? For some about an hour. Others might wait thirty days. The Internal Revenue Service waits at least 18 months to get nasty about their money and often they wait 8-9 years.

If you owe money to the Internal Revenue Service, or if they think you do, you are the only one worrying about the money. They don’t care if you ever pay. Collecting money is not important to the IRS.

If they really wanted your money wouldn’t they make you pay? You would think so, but they are too kind. They understand about your priorities, your desire to live beyond your means. If you have a car payment or even two, hey that’s ok, they won’t take that money. Nor will they take a fairly generous allowance for food, clothing, and miscellaneous expenses. Money for Child Support orders, back child support and Spousal Support orders is also exempt. Needless to say, you get an allowance for fuel and maintenance on those two new cars, unlimited money for term life insurance, health insurance, out of pocket medical care expenses, dental, glasses, contacts, chiropractor, etc.

No wonder the IRS is owed so much money. Your other creditors certainly volunteer to stand behind the IRS to collect don’t they? Fat chance Household Bank would. Your run of the mill creditor doesn’t care if you, your kids, and your dog starve to death as you write the check to pay them.

Who is winning this battle with the IRS? Unfortunately, the tax cheats are winning. They don’t file, don’t pay, and don’t care.

Where do you stand on this?
